I have over 20 years experience working in publishing – mostly as a journalist and editor – writing for, designing and publishing a variety of publications, books, magazines and promotional and campaigning material. These days I also work as a part-time lecturer teaching campaigning techniques and public relations (primarily using social media) to students at Middlesex University.<\/p>\n

I’ve spent most of my working life in the voluntary sector, primarily for trades unions, in public relations, editorial and policy research roles.<\/p>\n

I have a BSc in Communications & Information Studies from Brunel University, a Masters in Politics from Guildhall University (now London Metropolitan) and a PhD in Politics from Nottingham Trent University.<\/p>\n

I have been married to Moira for far longer than she deserves (she was probably quite evil in a previous life) and we have a smart, funny and beautiful daughter.<\/p>\n

I have published a number of short stories<\/a> in a variety of publications and, like almost everyone else who has ever worked as a journalist, I’m working on a novel.<\/p>\n\n
